Sister Joan has participated in recent Convoy for Kids Day events, including the ones held in November 2009 and November 2010. On each occasion, Sister Joan has taken a busload of children and carers to one of the attractions near Bangkok. It allows the children from the slum communities the opportunity to visit places they would not normally be able to visit. Everyone also received a Sister Joan t-shirt as a souvenir of the day.

Thanks to the organisers of the Convoy for Kids Day for allowing the children from the slum communities to attend and enjoy such a unique experience.
