Helping the youth in the slums of Bangkok today, to help themselves tomorrow...

FARES AND FOOD PROJECT

The Food and Fares Project provides children from the slums with sufficient funds to travel to school each day and buy breakfast and lunch.

This is an important project.

The money spent helping children get into school is of no value if the students do not have the means to travel to school. It's also very hard for a student to concentrate on learning at school if he or she has not had anything to eat that day.

Many students need to buy a bowl of rice before starting school each morning.
Once at school, students often need to buy their lunch as well.

The average cost per student is 115 Baht per week (approx. A$4.00 per week).
